Client Background
A Law firm working in partnership with an insurance company who deals with a high volume of claims required a faster, more accurate way to open new cases within their legal case management system, Proclaim.
Challenge
Before integration, opening a new case was a manual, 25-minute process for each file, requiring the solicitor team to re-enter extensive information from the insurer’s system into Proclaim. This labour-intensive process slowed down workflows and increased potential for data entry errors, straining resources and prolonging the time required to begin working on cases.
Solution
We developed and implemented an API that integrates directly with Proclaim, allowing data to flow seamlessly from the insurer’s platform into Proclaim. Now, cases are created in seconds, drastically reducing wait times and eliminating data entry errors.
Results

Case Opening times were reduced from 25 minutes to mere seconds. Previously, the solicitor needed dedicated staff to manually input data for each claim, slowing down initial stages of casework. The new API automated this entry process, enabling the Law Firm to handle a higher volume of cases without delay or additional staffing.

With the time-intensive data entry task removed, staff could focus on higher-impact activities like client communication. This shift increased overall productivity and allowed resources to be reallocated to strategic work rather than administrative duties.

Automating data transfer minimised the risk of errors from manual data entry. This improvement reduced the need for corrections and follow-ups with insurers, resulting in a smoother workflow and more reliable case information.
